This month, my short-term goals include:
1) be focused on my new class at Joggles
I need to complete the lessons in a timely matter so I don‘t fall behind. The name of the class is Fantasy Faux Mail. There are four lessons and they're all about making your own postage stamps. We will also look at enhancing envelopes and creating postcards.
2) decide what to do with my Storybeader business
This includes looking at changes to my tax schedule and producing new products for my Etsy shop. I’m embarrassed to even admit what I sold last year. Let’s just say I shouldn’t call Storybeader a business. At this time, I don’t want to lose my name, even though I don‘t make jewelry anymore.
3) Get active in my art journaling circles
I need to be more involved in the Sketchbook Challenge and with my Art Journaling Ning. Maybe I will join the Modern Masters Challenge, a new group on the Ning. I also want to start looking for other challenges and classes specifically focused on paper and mail art.
More things for my list of to-dos:
*BBArtisans February Challenge - using the color red.
*Ideas of Inspiration February prompt - “something you love”
*AlphabeThursday word of the week - Library

Congrats on getting your new kits in your shop! Can't wait to see what you create next!
Sounds like you have a fun month of art and challenges!
Looks like you've got your work cut out for you! I am with you on the "business" thing. It's tough to keep your head above water with the shop sometimes. Good luck going forward!
Your joggles class sounds like a lot of fun! I look forward to hearing more about it.
Glad to have found your blog Deb and have a chance to poke around. Looks like you're up to some stuff!
I understand about the jewelry business... I did that for a while and was not really successful ( the cost of renting a booth at an art fair was outrages ) ...you'd list makes me think of more stuff I need to do : )
Hey, I think I was gonna take the Faux stamp class... I musta totally forgot :(
I applaud your monthly short term goal making. I need to do more of that and less side tracking.. thanks for the inspiration
Hi Storybeader, Re: posting your 3 short term goals.
What a fantastic idea!
I create daily goals at my teaching position, but never thought to do this as an artist/blogger/potential Etsy shopkeeper.
I'm going to start doing this too!
There's quite a satisfaction in accomplishment.
Any advice about Etsy you can share?
You're so creative!
Your Joggles lessons sound like fun! Since you'll be creating postcards will you be using them for your Postcrossing?
This sounds like a great idea. I should give it a go. :)
Good luck with your list. I know how you feel about that shop thing. I have one and barely time to tend it. I keep saying I'll get to it but my day job is so demanding. Its hard to keep enthused! Good LUCK! found you thru Artsyville's List it Tuesday! Fran T
great goals!
I got lost in checking out Joggles and in particular the postcard class for travelers. I signed up and put it on my wish list, so we'll see...
I'm curious to see what changes you'll make in your Storybeader shop. I wouldn't want you to change the name; it's a good one. You can always tell a story in connection with it, and put that in the "About" section of your profile.
