Listing what I love about where I live is easy: my job. That's the reason I came to Lawton, Oklahoma and that's the reason I stay. I didn't really like my previous bosses, but they appreciated me. Now, I work for my friend and he's a great person (thanks John, for being so understanding about my broken ankle). Of course, my home has been very important to me; DH and I bought this house soon after we married and are now cutting our mortgage rate in half. One reason I'm grateful for living in Lawton is that I wouldn't have met my DH if I hadn't come here. At least, I think I wouldn't have...
In 1980, I moved from San Francisco to Oklahoma, to be close to my family and continue my education. Family has always been important to me and my Mom has probably been the biggest influence in my life. I like the slow-paced life Oklahoma offers, even though I live midtown, in one of the largest cities in the state. We would move in a heartbeat, though, to where my mom and brother live, if I had a job there...

Home is where the heart is - and that can be anywhere in the world! Job is important too, and having a good boss has to be high up the priority list.
May you continue to be happy where you are.
Congrats on cutting the mortgage in half...great list!
Having come from a place where the cost of living was low and the pace of life was slow, I can totally appreciate this list! Beautiful! thank you!
It's always good to think about what you like and appreciate about where you live as well as the other elements in life. You've journaled that so well here! (I like that tequila girl!)
It's wonderful you're in a place that you love being. I like your journal page too!
So sorry about MJ. My thoughts are with you and your DH.
Your list totally fits into my 'the Universe points us in the right direction' mantra. So glad you listened....great blessings...
You have the important things, definitely. I always think quality of life is so affected by whether someone likes where they're living or not, and definitely whether they like their job.
I love that you met your DH there & that you love your job. That's lovely.
(And Textile, I love your mantra. WOnderful.)
