Not too many words begin with the letter X, so this week's AlphabeThursday will be interesting to see what people pick. I like the letter X all by itself.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Xs, is X marks the spot.
A friend gave me a box of magazines a month ago, so I decided to look for a designer chest to put under my X, like a treasure. And wouldn't you know it - I found one in House Beautiful! The trunk I found reminds me of luggage that would have been taken on a ocean voyage, at the beginning of the century. The 20th century!
I wasn't sure if it would fit on my pages, but it did.
And I was going to draw a big X across the page, when I remembered a stamp I had started a few weeks ago. So I finished my carving of a pencil and used that straight line, over and over again, to make an X.
What would be in your treasure chest?

What a great page! I love that you used the magazine and your pencil stamp...very creative!
Not only do you have a big x going across your page, but your clock face has Roman numerals pictured - more xs. Good post!
The Impostor X
Cool! This is a great post:)
My treasure chest would probably be full of books!
I'm addicted...
xxoo,
RMW
Cool idea. And I would keep books in my treasure chest, too. And family history stuff. And the little box I keep all my favorite little notes people in.
=)
Nicely done. I'd end up with trinkets more than treasures....stuff I have no where else to store but things I'm not quite ready to get rid of. Thanx♫♪
Fun! I love the little clock. Honestly I would want a treasure chest full of money. Students loans and a mortgage...
Ha! Ha, I already have a few treasure boxes! Well treasures to me anyway, and just brought one down the other day, with old cards, letters and photos! I like your photos and the X marks the spot is so Xtra-cool!
X is a great letter. : ) Kisses come to mind! ; )
Love the incorporation of the clock, too!
that came out great! i love the colors you used. its so neat that you were able to find what you were looking for (the trunk) to complete the page :)
Very fun - eXtremely creative, too!
That turned out great! I'd want extra time and money in a treasure chest so I had more time to create!
X post here is x-ceptionally creative! You are so sweet and talented. Thank you for the share. Have a great weekend!
Oh! That's totally fun! Using the pencil stamp is quite creative!
I'd wish for a treasure chest full of toys--craft supplies! (Yes, I know. Money would be more practical.)
PS: Judie referenced your comment on my blog.
Oh darlin', my treasure box is filled with old photos...and chocolate! Heeehehehe!
Love your X marks the spot picture.
God bless and have a fantastic weekend sweetie!!! :o)
What a wonderful and creative post for X! I think my treasure chest would have a goat. :-)
