Here's some of my faces I drew:
They are both very scary, to tell the truth, but I think with time, I might learn how to proportion the face and get the shadows correct. A lot of people who don't draw portraits professionally have fun with people's faces. Moira said she tries to draw a face everyday, to practice. And showed us a bunch she did. This is my favorite:

Faces are really hard. I finally decided to just try and have fun. They still are not masterpieces by any means but I am not as afraid to give it a shot.

Thanks for showing us! And a great skill to learn...there really is a basic science to it, and I never knew that until I was met with a mapped out proportion diagram one day. SO helpful!
If I try to draw a face, it's a cartoon one! I think you're off to a great start.
As I said in the BBA forum, I am terrible at drawing faces and admire you for putting your work out there.
The one that you shared from Moira is really cute.
To me, your faces aren't scary, they're interesting! It's your drawing, and you can make the proportions however you wish! Talent is a proclivity; skill takes practice. Drawing a face every day is surely good discipline.

Your faces are way better than I can draw! The not tonight one kinda looks like John Travolta to me though! :)
Yeah, you really have to draw every day, what you want, to get good at it (I drew people almost every day growing up). But you can get there! Have you tried 'graphing' the face first, so you can get the proportions right? Oh, I see someone has already suggested that!
