| All About Unyons |
I like onions sautéed, not raw on a sandwich or piled into a salad. DH likes them every which way. I mention this because we made sandwiches yesterday for lunch. AND the tangle of the week is called Unyon.
At first, I didn't know if I could draw this pattern or not. But I succeeded with the help of Carole Ohl, Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). She has a step by step tutorial on her blog, openseedarts. Thanks Carole!
I messed up the pattern at first, but luckily it was drawn in pencil so I was able to change it. I'll forewarn you if you want to try this zentangle: make sure you use an even number of curved lines in between the onions. This way you can fill in the background at the very top and bottom, which makes it look much better.
And I learned something else: don't pick your pen up from the paper when filling in blocks. This will cut down on streaks. Of course, practice is the best instructor.
Speaking of teachers, what did Ms. Jenny and the rest of the AlphabeThursday class write about, when asked what begins with the Letter U? Come visit our classroom and see for yourself!

Looks like onions for sure!
Nicely done! I like them raw on hot dogs!
I wish I could share your love of onions, but... nope! ;)
Nice tangle!
Even the word onions or unyons makes me cry, lol !
I used to be allergic to onions long ago but fortunately outgrew it, 'cause I use onions in everything!
Love the tangle!
Yum! Onions any which way for me also please!
That does look like a tough tangle! As for onions, I like them any way and any kind - red, yellow, white, Walla Walla, you name it!
I like mine sweet. Vidalias are my favorite. If I can't get them sweet, I want them carmelized.
Love the tangle!
We love onions too- especially extra onions on a White Castle burger, add extra pickles too! Pretty picture.
Sauteed!
The onions are great! Personally I like them any way. :)
awesome...
beautiful shots.
I can't do onions. ICK! But your onion art is GREAT! :)
Great job!
The only way I can eat onions is as a flavoring, such as using minced dehydrated onions when frying a steak or using it as an ingredient.
Not a big "unyun" fan.....

Such a cool pattern. I'm a big unyun fan...all kinds...carmelized, raw, baked, broiled and bbq'd!
Thanks for a fun post this week.
I liked the little story you shared with words and in your comic!
