almost wordless wednesday - Chihuly in Tacoma
In Tacoma, we went to the Washington State History Museum in the morning, then walked over to the Museum of Glass, later on that day. You can get there by a highway overpass called the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. Chihuly was born in Tacoma! (some of his glassworks are in the Oklahoma Museum of Art and he is a visiting artist at the University of Oklahoma.) If you look over your head, on the covered portion of the bridge, this is what you see!

awesome photo! I love Chihuly's works. I was privileged to see a major installation of his in Phoenix a couple years ago.
Gorgeous, I love unique art in glass form... would certainly love to check this out!
That's awesome! I love Chihuly. I knew that he was from the Seattle area, but I have never gotten to see his work when I've been out there. I have seen it elsewhere, though.
That's beautiful! I wonder if his work is what's in the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
His work is awesome. Had not heard of him until last year when I was invited to go w/friends to see his work in a museum show.
Lovely work!
i've seen his work in different states at different times. it amazes me! i also own a book that shows his art.
