creative gift wrapping and gift certificates
I have to say, I like opening some packages more than others. Do you remember the last time you enjoyed unwrapping a package from a seller? A year ago I bought some lotto tickets from Patch, a fella etsyblogger. The envelope was so adorable, I kept it.
Last month, I decided to buy some extra tissue paper, along with stickers and "bonus" items to include in my packages. Now I'm just waiting for that sale...

I did make two gift certificates, for $25 and $50. And I'm surprised at all the hits they have received. Sorta wondering why people are clicking on them... maybe they're looking to see how I put it together. I'm not sure if anyone is going to buy one, but they're in my shop. Have you ever purchased a gift certificate?

jump start January
Etsy sellers would benefit reading this article by marymary. She points out some of the reasons why products will land on the front page this December and January.
pondering your plan for 2011
I have lots of fun, writing ToDo lists. With the coming new year, I need to contemplate what I'll be tackling:
- lose weight
- do art every day
- be a better wife/daughter/teammate
One thing I promised myself to do was start my personalized marketing plan... in January. This all started with Week 7 of the Holiday Boot Camp. The plan was developed by Blacksburg Belle, so I'll have her url available, where you can get the worksheets and follow along with me. I plan to make this into a series - it's easier to stay focused that way!

I have enjoyed reading along with you and the boot camp series. I hope that some of things are sinking in because I want to start things out the "right" way next year.
I still have Patch's envelope too :) It's too cute to throw away!
Looks like a fun and busy 2011 you have planned!
Isn't that personalized marketing plan great! Can't wait to see what you come up with. :)
You got some great plan there, Hope it all falls into place.
Now I wish I had followed along with the Holiday bootcamp, was reading it all along. But didn't do the tasks.
I'll catch up eventually.
Excellent plan thanks for sharing
Those are great tips on the gift certificate. They will be so much easier w/ coupon codes now too!
I didn't do the bootcamp, but I have sort of followed a few comments. Did you like doing it? What was the most helpful part?
Can't wait to follow your art journaling (it's something I've always wanted to do, but I end up with lots of notebooks with random scribbles in them....)
Patch's envelope is cute!
You have so many ideas and plans! It's fun to watch them unfold!
