Storybeader's 2nd Etsy Anniversary

It's my second Etsy anniversary today! I remember how thrilling it was, setting up shop... and how aggregating it was taking photographs of my jewelry. I learned lots of tricks in the first few months. And I worked to make my Etsy shop and jewelry more appealing. To date, I have 384 people who love my shop - January 31th, 2010 was my latest heart.

My first heart came from Banner Bee, who customizes banners and graphics. She's still on Etsy.




I started off, like many, looking up my home state team, the OKEtsians.




After starting my blog a few months later, I found the Etsybloggers,
and have been an active team member ever since. I love my Etsybloggers. If you're on Etsy and have your own blog, I recommend you come by our chatty thread and introduce yourself. I've learned a lot from my teammates and have made some best friends, all over the world.

In 2009, I joined a few new teams; the two I'm still involved with are:
FFEST (Facebook Fans on Etsy) and AWEteam (Art Walk On Etsy)

Last month I joined a new-to-Etsy team, called Etsy Cultural Fusion Team.

Our goal is the bring together artists who embrace a one-world perspective, and reflect this philosophy through artistic expressions. Team captains, Abby and Pam, have been working very hard; check out our blog

Hard to say it, but my sales on Etsy... not so good. I've sold 16 items; some were special orders, which is thrilling, when someone buys one thing and wants more. And I've sold outside the USA, to the Netherlands and Thailand. I even have one referral, though I don't know who it is. If it's you, please tell me and let me say thanks.

Last month I changed my banner, like many others have done recently. The new banner headlines my blog as well as my other internet shops. It feels completely different, and includes one of my handmade journals. But my little turtle avatar has been the same throughout the years. In a few month, I will be experimenting on renewing items and maybe buying a showcase or two on Etsy. If any of you have personal experience with the showcases, let me know, and I'll pass the info on! {:-D
