Sharla, from Beaded Tail, has given us two carnival topics, perfect for the new year:
1) Now that 2009 has come to a close, what will you remember most about last year?
2) Now that 2010 is here, what do you have planned/look forward/hope to accomplish this year?
Even though 2009 was not a total disaster, I’m ready to put it behind me. Here's to planning, looking forward, and hoping for good things:
1) PLAN to go back to the gym. Yes, everybody says they need to lose weight... now let’s do something about it! (this is a pic from a Mavericks home game in Dallas. They won!) DH said he will join me at the Y and we can spend some time together exercising. Does that sound fun? I spend way too much time in front of the computer, and need to find a balance between my health and well being, full-time job, blog, and handmade business. And my marriage!
2) LOOK FORWARD
to eating better. This includes some strict rules about how many times we can eat out in a month. I'm not the cook in our family, but look forward to shopping and cooking with my DH, who is. We used to enjoy cooking outside on the grill. I‘m looking forward to this, when the weather warms up.
3) HOPE to pay off some debt and keep it off. With two incomes again, and attention to the things that we buy, we can widdle down our debt. It always seems to grow as it's being paid off... like some sort of nasty disease!
What does all this mean to my online life? I will probably be less active, but I'm not willing to give up blogging, etsy, and the etsybloggers altogether! We'll see what happens in the months to come. Maybe I should do a carnival mid-year “How are your New Year’s plans working out?”
