The International Festival in Lawton, Oklahoma started 30 years ago. From inside the library, the city moved the festival outside into their parking lot. Over the years, it grew larger and larger, eventually ending up in Elmer Thomas Park, near the Museum of the Great Plains.Here's a short video, giving you a view of what's in the park and the beginning ceremonies under the big tent.

Wow, such a beautiful place for an outdoor festival. We'd all be fanning ourselves with what ever was available, and happy to be serving drinks from ice...LOL
Deb - thanks for sharing the multi-cultural festival with us. It is nice to see so many nations come together to share their cultures, through art and food. Most importantly, what a beautiful sight to see the ceremony of our "newest citizens", and even more important to see that some, although not yet citizens, already serving their country. It really made me feel proud to see these people standing and taking their oath to our Country and God, as new citizens of the US.

The first thing I saw was the flad and I wondered why there was a Mexican flag in Ok. Then I read the title....It sounds like fun.
