This keychain (left) was the result of my first beadweaving project. I'm using it now for my keys, and am pleased with how well it's holding up.
Next, I decided to try smaller seed beads, size 11/0, which I like better. At home, I have a bunch of these, so I'm good to go.
I used the same basic pattern, but "tweeked" it, to fit the beads. The only problem is, I don't have enough TIME! I did make another small keychain, that I'm selling on Etsy. It's going for a really good price, seeing the amount of time I put into it!

My latest attempt is a peyote rope necklace. Now THIS is going to take ages to make, because if you make a mistake, it'll ruins the whole rope. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my jewelry, and if something doesn't look good, or there's a mistake, I won't put my name to it! But I figure if I take my time, and weave in between other projects, I won't get discouraged.

Here's to beautiful seed bead colors and springtime! I'm excited! Interested in a custom keychain? I'll make you one, similiar to the one for sale on Etsy. Just pick five colors and leave me a comment or convo me on Etsy.

they look great! And it does look like something that could take eons to complete!
Your doing great! I started by working on my weaving in between other projects too.
Your projects turned out great!
Nice blog Deb! Very informative and I love the new bead work. Hope you have a good day!
Great colors for the necklace. Patience is a virtue when it comes to beadweaving but once you get started that is it, hooked for life. Can't wait to see the necklace when you're done.
That necklace is going to look great...I love the colors :) I like your idea of working on it in between other projects!
Great job! Very cool keychain. Seed beading has always been daunting to me, they are so tiny. And one mistake and your whole design looks wacky.
I haven't done any peyote in the round.. so far I've kept mine all flat.. guess I'll have to try round ... would make a neat rope for a bead!
Wow, I've never seen key chains like this before. Creative and unique. :)
