Now this beautiful purple felted pansy, created by avelaine, is sure to make it through the winter.So if I can't get winter color with flowers, I'll settle for a wreath. I've always liked wreaths, whether they're for Thanksgiving or Christmas. And you can find one on Etsy to decorate this holiday season. Here's one of my favorites from trulystreasures:
We did plant a few evergreen bushes out front - one with red berries. Very pretty. But I miss the look and smell of pine trees, one after another, in the deep woods.

Nice post. I also love wreaths. Helps make it feel more like Christmas when you can smell the fresh greens. It is hard to get in the mood when it is 80 degrees out!
I thought Pansys were indestructable! Up in Michigan, ours survived well into the winter up through January. They were planted between some shrubs, so perhaps that was a magic spot for them.
I enjoyed this post! Lovely photos too! Pansies seem to grow year round here in the Pacific Northwest and everything else starts coming back in January.
