Tools of the Trade - Etsybloggers Carnival
I think my favorite tool, and something I couldn't work without, is my magnifier/light. I was lucky enough to be out shopping with my DH, when we came upon this device in a fabric store (don't remember why we were there - the extent of my sewing is replacing buttons and sewing hems.) I said, "Wow, I could use something like that." And DH said, "You need it - let's get it."
The magnifier was something I wouldn't have picked up if I was out by myself. It's been a real blessing! Working with beads can be hard on the eyes. I also use it to read the telephone book and dictionary. I would highly recommend something like it to anyone doing “close” work or needing to read the "fine print!"

Great idea - I never would have thought of that! Thanks for sharing :)
Awww...your guy sounds like a sweetie:-)
I've often thought about getting that to help with the times that my glasses don't work. Darn my farsightedness!
Thats a good suggestion.
Do you think it helps take good pictures when u don't have natural light? I was considering one (w/o the magnifier).
The table is handy to photograph on, right in front of the window. I don't use my light/magnifier for picture taking.
This is totally on my wish list. Great post!
What a great idea! I hadn't thought of using one of those for close work... but it totally makes sense! :)
Great post (as always!)!!
My Dad needs this! He can never keep up with his glassses:)
